If a player goes in with a low pair pre-flop, you could call them a Gambler .

Go All-In

To bet all of one's money or chips.

“Maybe I can scare some players into folding if I Go All-In .”

Going South

To illegally take money off the poker table while in play.

Dave got banned from the game for going south.

Grifter

A cheater.

“He wasn't welcome in their game because they knew he was a Grifter .”

Grinder

To play with minimal risk, and earn modest money over a long period of time.

A Grinder tends to play for long periods of time with modest profits.

Gun Shot Straight

A straight filled "inside." If you have 9s-8s, and the flop comes 7c-5h-2d, and the turn is the 6c, you have a gun shot straight.

“I could tell that my Gun Shot straight could not be beat.”
