What is Rake?
Rake is an amount of money taken by the House as a fee for hosting the game. Rake is taken from the pot depending on the size of the pot, the stakes in play, and the number of players participating.
However, if there is no flop, (or if fourth street in stud games is not reached), no rake will be taken.
Note: rake is collected from the pot rather than directly from player's funds, so the rake amount shown below actually reflects the contribution of the table as a whole, and not the share any single player contributes.

Games below $0.50/1.00: Rake is collected by taking 1 cent from every $0.20 in the pot, up to the maximum of $0.50. Games $0.50/$1 to $2/$4: 5% of the pot, up to a maximum of $3. Rake is collected by taking 5 cents from every $1 in the pot, up to the maximum $1.00. Games above $2/$4: 5% of the pot, up to a maximum of $3. Rake is collected by taking 25 cents from every $5, up to the maximum $5.00. |
